The All-Russian Exhibition Center is the largest exhibition venue
of the country and Russia's national patrimony. One of the Center’s basic challenges is preservation and development of its architectural, leisure and exhibition ensemble.
The basic challenges of the Center are promotion of Russia's economic, scientific-technical and social infrastructure, developing of business activities, formation of innovatory products and intellectual property market, introduction into production of the science-intensive technologies and projects, interaction with the republican, regional and local exhibition and fair structures.
The Center’s infrastructure creates favorable opportunities for the organization and running of exhibitions, fairs, festivities, shows and art festivals.
Being a member of UFI (International Fairs Union) and the International Union of Exhibitions and Fairs the All-Russian Exhibition Center is characterized by the following parameters:
the territory of 2,375,000 sq. m
108,000 sq. m of closed display area, including:
36,800 sq. m intended for major international, all-Russian, inter-regional, and industrial exhibitions;
48,200 sq. m designed for standing exhibitions, fairs, and shows;
23,500 sq. m intended for agricultural exhibitions and fairs;
158,100 sq. m of open display space for exhibitions, mass cultural, educational, and sports events.
In 2003 the All-Russian Exhibition Center became the place of gathering the youth from all over globe at one of the most successful events in the MILSET history – the 9th Expo-Sciences International – ESI 2003. Nearly 90 countries took part at the exhibition.
In 2009 All-Russian Exhibition Center celebrates its 70th Anniversary. The new built Pavilion 75 which was opened to the public in 2008 is a huge modern facility designed to carry high-ranked national and international exhibitions. The Pavilion will become the venue of the 8th Expo Science European – ESE 2010, from June 27th to July 4th, 2010.
Besides exhibition activities, the All-Russian Exhibition Centre is also a place for leisure activities of Muscovites and visitors of the capital.
The Center tends to become of the main platforms for carrying out festivals and holidays celebrated by the city of Moscow.
About 20 large-scale entertaining events take place at the Center annually.
